Why a public tap can still be different

Taps on beaches and promenades may be showers or rinsing points, and a tap in a hotel garden can be on a different supply from the water indoors. If it isn't marked as drinking water, don't assume it is.

Check the tap, then tell the next person

Stick to taps clearly marked for drinking, and look at the spout first. When you find one, add it to Fontavio with a note on where it is and what the sign says. On a hot day by the sea, someone will be glad of it.
