Harbour information is badly documented almost everywhere: club websites last updated in 2014, printed guides out of date the month they are published, and everything else living in the heads of people at the next berth.

Fontavio maps dock drinking water, marine pump-out stations, marina showers, laundry and toilets, with the same community verification as everything else. Places can carry whether a pump-out is dockside or floating and whether it is self-service.

Marine facilities are less complete than some other categories, because marinas and their facilities are not consistently documented in open map data. If a marina, pump-out or water point is missing, users can add it.

Set the travel mode to boat and the map hides inland places you cannot reach, while keeping marina services that serve both road and water traffic.

The things that matter

01

On foot, by car, or by boat

Tell the app how you travel and it stops showing places you cannot reach, while keeping the ones that serve more than one kind of traveller, like marinas that also take campervans.

02 PRO

Water along your route

Pick the water stops and facilities you want along the way, then open the lot in Google Maps as one trip. For offline route planning, download also Google Maps from that area.

03 PRO

Offline maps

Pick an area on the map and download it. The base map, the places and their details all come with it, opening hours and reviews included, so everything keeps working with no signal at all. Photos are the one thing left out, to keep the download small. Built for valleys, borders and prepaid data.

04

Confirmed by the people using it

Every place carries a badge for whether a person has confirmed it works. One tap confirms it, one tap reports a problem, and repeatedly wrong edits limit an account.

Look up a city before you go

Search any city and the map jumps there. These pages show samples of the available data and statistics for cities.

Boaters: common questions

Does it list pump-out stations specifically?
Yes, marine pump-out is its own category rather than being lumped in with campervan waste. Where contributors have added them, dockside or floating and self-service are shown.
Will it show me places I cannot reach by boat?
Not once you set your travel mode to boat. Places record how they can be reached, so places you cannot reach by boat are hidden, while marina services that also serve campervans stay visible.
Is coverage good in my area?
Coverage comes from open map data plus contributors, and marine facilities are less well covered in open data than city fountains. You can add a missing harbour or facility yourself.
Is there water on the pontoon itself?
Where somebody recorded it, a marina listing says so, alongside its showers, toilets, laundry and pump-out. Berth capacity is shown too where the source data carried it. When a detail is missing the listing leaves it out rather than claiming there is none.
Does it cover inland waterways, or just the coast?
Inland marinas and harbours are mapped the same way, and so are the fountains and toilets in a canal town. Coverage of marinas depends on open map data, which documents them unevenly.
