Water services in Ayia Napa
Fontavio maps public drinking water, fill-up taps, toilets, showers, laundry, dump stations and marine pump-outs in Ayia Napa, from open map data and from the people using them.
Add a place we are missingDoes this page cover all of Ayia Napa?
It covers every category Fontavio has enough mapped places for in Ayia Napa today. A category appears here once enough places in it have been added and confirmed, so a missing one means thin coverage rather than nothing on the ground.
What if a place has moved or is gone?
Report it from the app. A person reviews it, and water-safety reports are looked at first.
Is the tap water safe to drink in Cyprus?
Yes. According to WHO and UNICEF, 99.7% of people in Cyprus had safely managed drinking water at home in 2024. Figures, sources and the dates they were checked: https://fontavio.com/cyprus/tap-water/
Is the water from a public tap or fountain the same as the tap water in Cyprus?
Not necessarily. Taps on beaches and promenades may be showers or rinsing points, and a tap in a hotel garden can be on a different supply from the water indoors. If it isn't marked as drinking water, don't assume it is. Stick to taps clearly marked for drinking, and look at the spout first. When you find one, add it to Fontavio with a note on where it is and what the sign says. On a hot day by the sea, someone will be glad of it.
