Add a place we are missingDoes this page cover all of Fonyód?
It covers every category Fontavio has enough mapped places for in Fonyód today. A category appears here once enough places in it have been added and confirmed, so a missing one means thin coverage rather than nothing on the ground.
What if a place has moved or is gone?
Report it from the app. A person reviews it, and water-safety reports are looked at first.
Is the tap water safe to drink in Hungary?
Yes. Hungary's national public health centre found drinking water safe and of good quality in 99.8% of the country's towns and villages, and WHO and UNICEF put safely managed drinking water at 100% for 2024. Figures, sources and the dates they were checked: https://fontavio.com/hungary/tap-water/
Is the water from a public tap or fountain the same as the tap water in Hungary?
Not necessarily. Old hand pumps in villages and taps in older buildings may not be on the treated supply, or may run through old pipes. And a dirty or rarely used public tap can spoil perfectly good water. Check the spout and let the water run before you drink. When you find a good tap, put it on Fontavio or review it, so people walking around Hungarian towns in summer know where to refill.
